Sixteen-year-old actress, model, and activist Maya Henry spearheaded fundraising efforts for Tree Media Foundation during the 2017 MAXIM Party silent auction on February 4, 2017 in Houston, Texas. The silent auction is an annual Maxim Party tradition which raises money for charitable organizations and this year Maya raised $100,000 for Tree Media Foundation which will go towards educating the public on environmental issues.
When asked why she picked the Tree Media Foundation as the silent auction beneficiary, Maya Henry said, “I support Tree Media Foundation because the work they do educating the public on environmental issues is extremely important. Using cause-related filmmaking to introduce these issues to a broader audience is an inspired effort. I will continue to help in any way I can.”
The 2017 MAXIM Party, was organized by Karma International and presented by Thomas J. Henry. It took place at the Smart Financial Centre – a state-of-the-art, brand new facility in the greater Houston area, which saw over 4,500 tastemakers and VIP’s on the night of the event. The exclusive affair had an outstanding talent lineup, featuring hip hop recording artist Travis Scott, a deejay set by DJ Khaled, a performance by pop group DNCE, strolling performers, aerialists and more. Art, fashion, music and sports all simultaneously collided for the ultimate immersive and exciting party experience, which included multiple interactive areas, live artistic vignettes, theatrical lighting and concert level sound. Table buyers and celebrities had beautiful, spacious, all-inclusive suites and tables on risen platforms overlooking the decadent and exclusive affair. This year, the event’s main sponsors by Bud Light and Monster Energy.

About Maya Henry
Maya Henry is an actress, model, and activist from Texas. She is the daughter of highly successful personal injury attorney Thomas J. Henry. Maya is heavily involved in philanthropic and community engagement projects in Texas and beyond. Most recently, her organization helped to raise funds for and distribute school supplies to low income schools in Texas. She first became affiliated with Tree Media Foundation after becoming aware of their work with pollination studies.
Maya has made the rounds on some of the biggest entertainment stages- from Inside Edition to the Steve Harvey Show. Tree Media Foundation (TMF) was created by Tree Media to educate the public on environmental issues. TMF supports activities and programs that incorporate thinking in deep ecology, human development, and consciousness. The foundation’s first project was Farms in Schools, where TMF partnered with The Green Schoolhouse, a Los Angeles-based school garden consulting and design build company, to create a pilot program to build school farms.
