The Moms and Chevy Tristate Presented A MAMARAZZI® Breakfast Event with Nancy O’Dell to Celebrate her Collection with EVINE LIVE at Il Valentino Osteria

THE MOMS, Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein, hosts of the SiriusXM radio Stars program The MOMS with Denise & Melissa, hosted a Mamarazzi® Breakfast Event with Entertainment Tonight Host and Fashion Designer Nancy O’Dell on Thursday, September 10th, 2015 at Il Valentino Osteria. The event, hosted in conjunction with Chevy Tristate, brought together influential moms and media, to celebrate Nancy’s new clothing line for digital commerce enterprise EVINE Live.

Guests at the event were treated to a delicious buffet from Il Valentino Osteria, a new Tuscan eatery from Restauranteur Mirso Lekic located in the Sutton Place neighborhood on Manhattan’s Upper East Side at the corner of 59th and 1st Avenue. Executive Chef Erminio Conte prepared breakfast omelets including a Spinach Omelet with mushrooms, tomatoes and sage and pancakes served with strawberries, blueberries, whipped creamand syrup. In addition, guests were treated to Pizza Margarita freshly baked in the restaurant’s brick oven.

Guests gathered to enjoy the food at Il Valentino Osteria, while participating in a Mamarazzi®town hall Q&A with The MOMS Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein and guest of honor, Entertainment Tonight Host Nancy O’Dell.

O’Dell was there to launch her eponymous fashion collection, which will debut this Friday, September 11th, 2015 and Saturday September 12th, 2015 onEVINE Live, which you can find on cable TV and online at www.evine.com.  O’Dell, who was wearing one of the signature jumpsuits from her new line, said that she drew her design inspiration from wanting something sophisticated, but with a youthful edge and listed Alexander McQueen and Alexander Wang as design inspirations. In the future, she plans on expanding her line beyond womenswear, and she said that her daughter wants her to design a children’s line. “She’s actually already given me drawings of things to make for her,” she said.

Nancy also discussed balancing life with her work as Host of Entertainment Tonight. She said that despite the ever-changing nature of the news business, she occasionally needs to be available at a moment’s notice. “As host of Entertainment Tonight, I’ve learned that when they need you they can find you,” she said mentioning all the various ways they can reach her if need be. With that said, she said that she makes sure that she is at the special moments and events in her family’s life.

Along with trying to be there for her family for all special occasions, she said she’s the homework helper at home. “I normally do the homework with my daughter,” she said, “Right now my husband is doing it since I’m out of town and he couldn’t believe how early kids learn things these days. He said he was having to explain supply and demand to our little 8 year old!”

As for what she has yet to personally accomplish, she said she wants to bring more awareness to ALS, a disease her mother was afflicted with. For this, campaigns such as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge are close to her heart as O’Dell is also the spokesperson for ALS.net. Once O’Dell mentioned the challenge, Denise Albert challenged the entire room to partake in it and make donations to als.net, following which Il Valentino Osteria supplied ice buckets to make sure that everyone could participate and spread awareness of this cause.

Michael Nouri in NBC’s Upcoming New Miniseries, ‘The Slap’

Veteran actor Michael Nouri will appear in five of NBC’s upcoming eight-episode miniseries, The Slap, which premieres Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 8:00pm (EST). Based on the book by Christos Tsiolkas and Australian television series of the same name, The Slap is produced by Matchbox Pictures and stars Peter Sarsgaard, Thandie Newton, Uma Thurman, Zachary Quinto, Melissa George, Thomas Sadoski and Brian Cox.

The Slap, which is written and co-produced by Jon Robin Baitz (“Brothers & Sisters’), co-produced by Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald (“Gladiator,” “Men in Black”), and directed by Lisa Cholodenko (“The Kids are All Right”), takes an unflinching look at how one little slap can have a huge impact. The show follows Hector, played by Peter Sarsgaard (“Blue Jasmine,” “An Education”), a public servant and father who explodes when his hothead cousin slaps another couple’s misbehaving child. This moment ignites a chain of events that will uncover long-buried secrets within this group of friends and family that vigorously challenge the core values of everyone involved. Nouri, who has enjoyed a successful career spanning film (“The Proposal,” “Finding Forrester,”), television (“Damages,” “NCIS”), and theater (“Victor/Victoria” opposite Julie Andrews), will play Thanasis Korkoulis in The Slap, a successful attorney and childhood friend of Brian Cox’s character, Manolis, the patriarch of the family.

On Monday, February 9, 2015, Nouri joined the all-star cast of The Slap who gathered for the New York Premiere Party hosted by NBC and Vanity Fair at The New Museum. On the red carpet, Nouri expressed his excitement for the show’s premiere, saying “the cast and crew have been just sensational to work with […] this has been an incredibly thrilling project to be a part of.”

Nouri’s upcoming feature credits include “The Squeeze” which is being released in April, 2015 in which he also serves as a co-producer, “Teleios,” “The List,” and “Street Level,” in which he co-stars with Danny Trejo.  Nouri recently co-starred in the feature film “Taken Away” which aired on Lifetime in Fall 2014.

The Slap premieres this Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 8:00pm EST. For more information visit www.nbc.com/the-slap
