This fantastic food experience offers three-course lunch and dinner menus at reduced prices from January 23 – February 10, 2017 at many restaurants throughout NYC. From trendy newcomers to fine dining restaurants, this annual event entices New Yorkers to try out new restaurants and revisit old favorites all the while enjoying affordable eats. If you are looking for a new restaurant to try this winter, let it be Mike Mammoliti’s MAMO restaurant, featuring Michelin-starred Chef Massimo Sola, which is sure to offer an extraordinary culinary experience. MAMO truly captures the Riviera’s “sense of home” with original family photos and oversized vintage movie posters. The decor also incorporates classic New York-inspired touches such as exposed brick walls.

This Winter Restaurant Week 2017, MAMO offers Lunch specials such as Vitello Tonnato con Olio ai Capperi (Cold Sliced Veal Round with Tuna Sauce and Capers Oli); Filetto di Orata alla Griglia con Verdure all’Olio (Grilled Gilthead Seabream on Mixed Vegetables) and Polpette al Pomodoro Piccante (Meatballs in Spicy Tomato Sauce). The Dinner menu offers diners a selection of delectable dishes such as Calamarata (Stir-fried Squids with Potatoes, Pesto and Cherry Tomatoes); Guancia di Manzo su Pure (Braised Cheek of Beef on Potato Puree); and Castolette di Agnello alla Scottadito (Marinated and Grilled Lamb Chops “scottadito” style). Those with a sweet tooth will love the dessert selection of Tiramisu, Cheesecake, Affogato, Chocolate Cake and Vanilla Cake.

Pair your meal with one of MAMO’s signature cocktails, such as the Al Pachilli, Lo Spione or MAMO Negroni, or with wine from the restaurant’s extensive wine collection.

Executive Chef Ben Zwicker has pulled out some of the restaurant’s Nuevo American favorites for Winter Restaurant Week 2017. Lunch dishes include Foie Gras & Chicken Liver Parfait, Salmon Ceviche and Black Angus Steak Tartar for Appetizer; Irish Salmon, Chicken Milanese and Cavatelli “ Antonucci ” for Entrée; and Banana Parfait Mille Feuilles, “Soltners” Chocolate Mousse and Warm Apple Crisp for Dessert.

The Dinner menu features Entrée specials such as the tender Filet Mignon 8 oz, with Mashed Potatoes and Béarnaise Sauce; Mediterranean Branzino with Tomatoes, Olives, Capers and Lemon; and Roast Free Range Chicken with Mash Potatoes, Braised Carrots and Jus.

For the Winter 2017 edition of NYC Restaurant Week, Executive Chef Vito Gnazzo will offer a trio of tantalizing 3-course dinner menus, each one representing his favorite dishes from three separate Italian regions: Piemonte, Puglia, and Le Isole (Sardegna & Sicilia), and each available with regional wine pairings! This is the perfect opportunity for food lovers who do not typically dine in such high-end, luxurious surroundings to enjoy some of New York City’s best Italian cuisine, in one of the city’s most beautiful, iconic dining rooms.

Specialty dishes include Agnolotti filled with braised veal and ricotta, with red wine reduction and marjoram sauce (Piemonte menu); Cuttlefish filled with mussels and breadcrumbs, in light tomato sauce (Puglia menu); and “Coniglio in agrodolce” Slow braised rabbit in sweet and sour style, served with mashed potatoes (Le Isole menu). Desserts include Panna cotta and raspberry sauce (Piemonte menu); “Le zeppole” Deep-fried Italian style donuts filled with vanilla custard (Puglia menu); and “Cassata Siciliana” Sponge cake filled with sheep ricotta, candid fruit and chocolate chips (Le Isole menu).
